In Loving Memory…
Lucy
The acronym of ADVOCATE was inspired by Lucy, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. I was brought into the family to keep her shenanigans at bay. As her mom mourned the passing of Lucy, she desired a word that explained to others my relationship to her dog and the services I provided. I was always Lucy's advocate and the acronym perfectly describes my services.
Diagnosis
I came to walk with you
But you were feeling blue
Thought will shorten our route
But you had no doubt
You wouldn't eat your kibble
Not even with bacon dribble
You see the doc
To have him take stock
The diagnosis is given
Now we can start livin'
But that was not to be
For God was going to set you free
You were upset
So off to the vet
It was too late
To change your fate
Our date
Would have to wait
Lucy, Lucy, Lu - all I want to do is walk with you!
Jazmine
The one who started me on this path.
My beloved pet, friend, and teacher.
My love, my love, you are gone!
My heart is shattered
How will I ever continue on
Just one more day
That was all I asked
Then, I'd say good-bye
But you know I lie
I could "n-e-v-e-r" let you die
Jake
Social butterfly, friend, and client.
“In loving memory of Jake -
my sweet pup that I miss dearly.
Sunlight streams through window pane onto a spot on the floor..... then I remember, it's where you used to lie, but now you are no more. Our feet walk down a hall of carpet, and muted echoes sound..... then I remember, it's where your paws would joyously abound.

A voice is heard along the road, and up beyond the hill, then I remember, it can't be yours..... your golden voice is still. But I'll take that vacant spot of floor and empty muted hall, and lay them with the absent voice and unused dish along the wall. I'll wrap these treasured memories in a blanket of my love, and keep them for my best friend until we meet above.”

Disease is not death
Death is not the end of life
Nothing to say
About death on it's way
No help needed
Cancer deep seated
You know I care
But tomorrow I won't be there
Disease is not death
Death is not the end of life
Nothing to say
About death on it's way
No help needed
Cancer deep seated
You know I care
But tomorrow I won't be there
My Final Hour
My time is up
I'm letting go
Just one more night
To let her know
The daylight comes
And I'm still here
My Final Hour
My time is up
I'm letting go
Just one more night
To let her know
The daylight comes
And I'm still here
And your the one
For she is too dear
In my final hour
I'll take a nap
That sets me free
From the body on your lap
The deed is done
You hold me tight
And your the one
For she is too dear
In my final hour
I'll take a nap
That sets me free
From the body on your lap
The deed is done
You hold me tight
As angels come
With wings for flight
So I may go
You say good-bye
I'll be in heaven
No need to cry
As angels come
With wings for flight
So I may go
You say good-bye
I'll be in heaven
No need to cry

There once was a sweet kitten
The size of a mitten
He would roam
Until he found a home
Ever so sick
But his family didn't give a lick
They would do their best
To help him rest

From the basket seat
He was protected from their feet
Such a brief time on land
Then, back to God's hand
Thank you for honoring me
The cat that was more than FIV”
